From the outside, Carson King looks like he has it all. He’s next in line to be CEO of King Communications, he’s hot and single, and he’s at the center of the New York social scene. He has a different woman on his arm every night, and he wouldn’t change a single thing about his life…until Sylvie Baker storms into his boardroom.

Sylvie Baker actually does have it all. She balances a successful career with the perfect boyfriend—a man she plans to marry someday. She wouldn’t change a single thing about her life…until Carson King challenges everything with one simple confession.

Sylvie is intent on fighting her feelings. Carson’s convinced it’s just a waiting game.

But how long is he willing to wait for her?

Read Chapter One:

There is a very popular saying in Spanish that says: Del odio al amor solo hay un paso” which means “From hate to love, there is only one step” and Lisa Suzanne gifted us a cute couple who remind me of this peculiar saying. Hate to love relationships are the stronger ones because at some point both feelings are opposite ends and they have the same intensity.

In Outwait you will find a light story which shows us the way some commercial transactions can cause hate and love at the same time. I mean, who will be happy if your family business is going to be sold to a bigger company? It’s not easy. And what if we add to this equation that you are attracted to the man you consider your enemy? That makes it harder, doesn’t it?

The main characters are fighters because both look for the best of their families but at the same time they are scared to disappoint their beloved ones.  Carson does not want to take over a place he does not want even though it was destined since his birth. Being a CEO is not in his future plans. However he does not want to disappoint his father.

As a member of the company he has to watch over their interests. What he never imagined was that being in front of one of the most important commercial transaction of his family’s company he will meet the woman capable to flip his world backwards.

“I’m taking something from you, so I wanted to give you something to take from me.”

Sylvie will make things harder to Carson. She will try to avoid the attraction between her and the man who she considers her enemy. Nevertheless the attraction will be so intense that her feelings will betray her and will not let her to fool herself.

“He ignited this fire inside me, and not just  a fire to fight for my company –a battle I’ve already lost. He ignited things I didn’t know were dormant, and as I walk through the door into my home, I still can’t stop thinking  about him.”

If you are keen on reading about cocky men, strong and independent women then this book is for you. Falling in love at first sight has a new meaning thanks to King’s men. If you read the previous books of this series, you know what I’m talking about. If not, you will discover it. And do not worry this book can be read as a standalone. I advise you to pick the other ones (Clickbait & Stalemate) Easy peasy!

“When I want something, Sylvie, I go after it. I don’t stop until I get it.”

I enjoyed this book because it’s light and easy to read. There is much expectation and tension between the main characters that made me scream and laugh at the same time. I could not put it down. It was addictive from the first pages and, trust in my words all expectations are well rewarded. The author kept me at the edge of the abyss all the way to the end of the book.  This book is delicious with capital letter “D”.

“Love is pain –that’s the lesson here. Love is aches and decisions and anxiety. It’s hearthbreak and doing the right thing when all you want to do is the wrong thing. It embeds itself in our very souls and tear us to shreds.”
