Blurb

I rescued Sabrina from a mafia bloodbath when she was thirteen. Doing right by her became a priority for me, even while I was busy as the new head of the Philly syndicate. I sent her to the best boarding schools and kept her as far away from the life as possible. It worked perfectly. Until she turned 18. Until she came home. Until I realized that the timid girl was gone and in her place lived a smart mouth, a wicked imagination, and a body that demanded my attention. Who am I? I’m F*cked. Nice to meet you.

Have I said before that I am in love with Celia Aaron's writing? Since I read Dark Protector I was praying to heaven that Nate’s story was published. He deserved his own book. There was something intriguing about Nate. He was hiding his true identity behind the mafia boss facade.

This book can be read as a standalone but I recommend you to read Dark Protector before reading Nate. There are some clues that you don’t want to miss in order to understand all the context of this dark mafia world created by Mrs. Aaron.

Some say that love finds us and that we shall not seek it. It comes natural and it finds us when we less expect it. But what would happen if you fall for a cocky Mafia boy who saved you from a hitman? Will you see him as your savior or will you see him as a monster? Also they say that the age is just a number. When our soul meets her/him soulmate it does not matter anything. Love is the strongest feeling that can bound us. As a lover of dark romance I enjoy this book so much. It was a pleasure to dive into Nate and Sabrina’s story. The push and pull between them is something enjoyable. He is older and the boss of the Mafia and she is her pupil, the girl who he saved. Now she is all grown up, a stunning woman ready to tempt him and make him to lose control. “I was eighteen and ready to come home. I was also ready for Nate Franco, though I knew he wouldn’t be ready for me.” Sabrina is a pure girl who sees Nate as her savior. He is the world to her. She has been waiting patiently to be older enough to get what she want. The past has bounded her to Nate. There is no other man she wants but he will not fall easily. He will resist her in order to protect her. “I didn’t want a boy. I wanted a man. One man in particular... I didn’t want a gentleman. I wanted Nate. Down and dirty. Just the way I remembered.” Nate is a complex man. He shows his badass actititude to the men who work for him but deep inside him beats a golden heart. Having Sabrina at home will be dangerous for his sanity. He does not want to damage her. He wants what it is the best for her. Behaving when she is around will be a quite hard limit. “I’m trying to do the right thing here, can’t you see that? For once in my life , I’m trying to put someone else first. Put you first.” I have a theory that Nate thinks that Sabrina suffered the Stockholm syndrome. That can explain why she is attached to him. He sees himself so worthless for an angel like her. “I know you have this idea of me as some sort of savior, good guy type. I’m not. I kill people. I take. I’m not what you think.” The attraction is heavy and Nate will surrender to the pure angel who will turn his world upside down. Intense and steamy scenes will make you blush. Be prepared for a mind-blowing trip to the Mafia world. This is a must read you won’t want to miss. The villain is a savior, the heroine is a young and strong woman ready to fight for her feelings. “The angel in my arms had rocked the world off its axis, and I was barely hanging on.” (ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest review)
