Four months.
That’s it.
Smile. Dote. Look pretty for the cameras. Be his beck and call girl, his faux girlfriend. Four months, then I walk away two hundred fifty thousand dollars richer, never setting eyes on Shaw Mercer again.
No emotions, no strings, and definitely no falling in love with the client.
Yet, Seattle’s infamous playboy proves to not only be irresistible, he may be the man I never thought I wanted. What began as a ruse, a strategically planned campaign move suddenly morphs into reality, and I find myself breaking my own rules of self-preservation one by one.
But the world has a cruel way of slapping me across the face as she always does. Just when I think Shaw and I might have our happily ever after, my ex-fiancé re-enters the picture and flips our lives upside down with devastating secrets neither of us see coming, but more importantly, neither of us will be able to escape.
I can only stand by and watch helplessly as the future I’d allowed myself to dream of comes crashing down around me once again.

Lost in Between
OMG! I can still savouring this book while I’m writing my review. Lost in between is the kind of book where the plot of the story makes you bite your nails. Not because of the drama. It’s because of complexity of the characters. You want to discover all of their secrets in order to understand why they act like that, what make them to hold on their feelings and what are they hiding. The story is well build. It has the perfect mix of drama, passion and spicy tension. We do really need more books like this.
People tend to hide their true feelings when they have been hurt. They do it so as to protect themselves until they find the right person who will draw them out of their armour which could be impenetrable.
This book is told from both sides of the main characters. This is absolutely a bonus because you enjoy both sides of the story. I personally loved Shaw’s mind. It’s delightful to be inside the man’s mind. Shaw is a cocky man who has settled his goals in life. His family is the more important thing in his life as much s his company. He will do anything to protect them until he meets Willow.
“I’m not being heartless, just honest when I say a woman will never be a priority for me. My company, my family, those are where my focus lies”.
In order to protect his family, Shaw will set a bittersweet arrangement that involves Willow. Willow has gone through a lot. She went through the motions. She had built a wall to protect herself. Because of her mom’s health and all the fees she had to paid, she will accept Shaw’s proposition. She will fight hard to not fall for him but the tension between them will pull them together.
“Nondisclosure agreement? This sounds very Fifty Shades-ish. And just so you know, if I had any mention of hard limits or safes words, that’s a deal breaker.”
In spite of the attempts not to confuse their arrangement they will fail terribly. Goldilocks and Drive By will succumb to their desires. Together are dynamite and the tension between them is so f*cking explosive.
“He is temptation and I am a sinner. With a murmured yes, I surrender myself o his altar of iniquity knowing there will be no angel of mercy that can save me now”.
“I fuck her like she’s my new religion and I’m her devout worshipper”.
They have more in common than they can imagine. Both are protective of their beloved ones. But ghosts of the past will obstacle their future and not all that glitters is gold. The final of this book just made me so anxious to read more and we have to wait until the release of the following book of this sinful series. I highly recommend this book to those who enjoy the tug and push between two people who are discovering that they were made for each other without knowing it. You won’t be disappointed. Between us, there is a character who I’d like to read more about: Noah. He could be my guardian angel too. Now, Shaw and Noah are on my book boyfriend list. Enjoy your reading!
“You deserve happiness, Willow. Let me do that for you. Let me take away your sadness and replace it with joy”.
Found Underneath
Holy cow! K. L. Kreig is a queen. She made me suffer with the final set in the Lost in Between the first book on the Finding me Duet. Anxious was the fit adjective to describe my feelings. She killed me sweetly. And now, I came alive again with Found Underneath. This book is (in my words) the perfect final for this duet. It was delightful to see the evolution of Goldilocks and Drive By during the story. They found what they were not looking for.
This book has the same pattern as the first one. It’s told from both sides. There is not a chance to miss any detail. I do enjoy the most Shaw’s chapters. Have I said before that I love reading the man’s mind? Well, Shaw gave me a good time.
After agreeing to be a couple in front on other’s eyes in order to save Shaw’s father campaign. We were left with some big doubts about the relation between Willow’s father dead and Shaw’s little sister. Additionally, some ghosts from the past will interfere with their life and newfound love. At this point both are being really carefully with their true feelings. What started as an agreement between them is ended to give entrance to something beautiful. Love works in mysterious ways.
“Well, the truth is... you captivate me like no one else has before. Willow and what I feel for you is... new for me.”
“I’m having a hard time keeping up with how fast you’re changing me, Goldilocks.”
Discovering that we have fallen in love provokes us many emotions. Excitement and fear are two opposite poles that when they collide it causes sparks in our interior. Those little sparks of hope that are strengthened by the warm fire that consumes our heart. But for some this is more about fear of suffering a heartbroken. Shaw has been the most eligible bachelor for a long time. He thinks love was not made for him until he met Willow.
“I’ve found that person. The one who makes me stronger. The anomaly I dint think existed, but does, and I would be a fool to continue keeping him at arm’s length.”
Love is never easy. Before Willow and Shaw could enjoy their love together, they will have to solve many things like revealing all their secrets to each other and fighting a ghost from the past who is ready to shatter, with his claws, their blossoming love.
“We are stronger than any force working to tear us apart, Willow. Unbreakable.”
“You and me. That’s it. That’s all it will ever be, Goldilocks. Just you and me”
Found Underneath is all what you search in a good book and wrapped in a sexy cover. I enjoyed every piece of it. This book captivated me more than the first one. It’s always a pleasure to read any book written by K.L. Kreig. Shaw has a special place in my book boyfriend list. He is a poetic and cocky man ready to fight for his feelings in spite of his lack of knowledge about love. His lack of knowledge and acceptance do not prevent him from reaching his goal: Willow and his family safety. I have a little request: Noah deserves his own book.

As a USA Today Bestselling author, I write stories that are deeply emotional with flawed characters, because humans ARE flawed and if we read about perfect characters living in their perfect world, first of all, snoozer, but secondly, we never experience the gratification of redemption.
Outside of writing, I’m just a regular ol’ Midwest girl who likes Game of Thrones and am obsessed with Modern Family and The Goldbergs. I run, I eat, I run, I eat. It’s a vicous cycle. I love carbs, but there’s love-hate relationship with my ass and thighs. Mostly hate. I like a good cocktail (oh hell…who am I kidding? I love any cocktail). I’m a huge creature of habit, but I’ll tell you I’m flexible. I read every single day and if I don’t get a chance…watch the hell out. My iPad and me: BFFs. I’m direct and I make no apologies for it. I swear too much. I love alternative music and in my next life I want to be a bad-ass female rocker. I hate, hate, hate spiders, telemarketers, liver, acne, winter and loose hairs that fall down my shirt (don’t ask, it’s a thing).
