Have you wondered how is to be in an action movie? Well you will discover it if you read Dark Protector. This book has all that make you feel you are living a real action movie. I myself feel it that way. The author transmits you all the necessary by her written words. You will find out that a Hitman never has been so sexy after reading this book. The story around the main characters is complex and filled with a lot of twist that you can imagine that will happen. 

Some will think that an assassin is cold-blooded, heartless, and unable to feel any good feeling but there is always an exception (a sinful exception). However, very deep and hidden some have feelings. There is always a light at the end of the tunnel. 

The book is full of blood, well built blood scenes and lots of breath-taking sex scenes that will make you blush. The story is told from the perspective of both main characters (boy and girl POV’s) so you won’t miss any detail. It’s always a pleasure to read the man’s perspective in a book.

The author introduces us a Hitman who has found the light at the end of the tunnel. This light is represented in a woman who will become his obsession which is going to put her in danger. The best murders have always enemies who will wait for an opportunity, hiding in the darkness.

A mistake will lead to a series of events that will have you at the edge. At the beginning you will think Conrad is the typical kind of murder but soon you will discover you were wrong. He is arrogant and the best at killing.

In the other hand we have Charlie. A young woman who has gone through hard times in her life but never loses hope. Then she met Conrad and all her world changes instantly.

“Why would an angel cry for a sinner like me?”

The tension and passion between both of them is explosive. When they are together they can burn everything is near of them. They have made sins in their life. He is a murder and she is seeking for protection. Charlie and Conrad complete each other.

“Killing for Charlie was easy. Dying for Charlie was easy. But what I wanted more than anything else–to life for Charlie– had proved impossible”

I absolutely recommend you this book. I’m becoming a fan of dark romance thanks to many good writers as Celia Aaron. It has all the necessary to keep you wanting to read more and more. If you love suspense, dark romance, sex, blood and murders, this book is for you. If not you haven’t read this kind of book then give it a chance. You won’t be disappointed. Do not judge the book only by its cover. You will be surprised.

“Look.” He pulled his pistol from its holster, laid it on the dresser, and began unbuttoning his shirt. “I realize this isn’t optimal for either of us. You don’t want to be here.”

I tried not to stare at the gun, but I was already trying to figure out if I could get to it before he could.

“You can’t.” He glanced at the gun then back to me. “I’ll always win.”

“Always?” I edged toward the door to what looked like a bathroom.

He sighed, weariness heavy on his exhale. “Yes. It’s what I do.”

“You kill? Is that what you mean?”

His face hardened, a muscle ticking in his jaw. At that moment, I realized how truly terrifying he could be. Built like a solid wall of muscle, at least six foot five, with a handsome face and eyes that went cold in a heartbeat. I swallowed hard and bumped into the doorframe at my back.

“I’m going to need to patch this.” He jerked his chin toward his shoulder, but kept his eyes on me. “But first, I’m going to take care of your nose and get you cleaned up.”

“First, you need to tell me why I’m even here.” I couldn’t keep the shrill notes from my voice. “Why did Berty take me? Why is this happening?”

He reached behind his head and pulled his shirt off in a singularly masculine move. His abs flexed, and his bare chest looked carved and hardened. Black ink trailed around his arms and met in the center of his chest. “Death before dishonor” was written between his pecs with a flourishing script. His fingers had individual letters on each one. Scars dotted his body—some long gashes with dots on either side from stitches, others that were rounded or jagged. He was a battlefield, his story told with blood and scar tissue.
